Lobby Day
You will meet with Governor Matt Blunt, Lt. Governor Peter Kinder, as well as other Missouri Junior League members as we lobby on behalf of children's issues. We will have a luncheon at the Governor's Mansion with guest speakers followed by a special tour of the historic house with Melanie Blunt. Individual meetings with local State Representatives and Senators will follow.
No experience is necessary! This all-day event is fun, educational and meaningful. It's a chance to make a difference by backing legislation that supports the causes of the Junior Leagues of Missouri. JLSL members receive two training credits for participation. The cost is $40 for lunch and transportation.
Ride in style on the Political "Party Bus". You will be trained on the legislative process and JLSL platform issues on the way to Jefferson City. And we will have our own Political Party with games & refreshments on the way back! When's the last time you went on a road trip with your friends?
