Julie Heller Rosenfeld was born in New York and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Bennington College and Pratt Institute, then returned to St. Louis to begin her career. Julie worked as graphic designer for The Saint Louis Art Museum from 1981 to 1987, then worked as a freelance illustrator and designer until 1993, when she and her partner, Sally Seldin Harrison, founded their graphic design studio, Rosenfeld Harrison Design Co. Ms. Rosenfeld lives in Clayton, Missouri with her husband and two sons.
