Since 1914, the Junior League of St. Louis has been committed to fulfilling our mission in greater St. Louis: promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
In League year 2017-18, JLSL is working on concrete ways in which to reduce infant mortality in the St. Louis area. Rallying around the issue of infant mortality will allow us to concentrate the majority of our efforts around this cause and to identify outcomes and results to more effectively measure the impact of our work.
For babies – and their mothers – reaching the 366th day of life as stress-free as possible is vital to changing infant mortality rates in the St. Louis community. Throughout Day 366’s second year, members have the opportunity to learn about our community’s needs, offer support to our community partners, and advocate for awareness and change through legislative action.
The Junior League of St. Louis has a growing membership of nearly 600 women dedicated to our mission. As you know, our members strive to balance their professional, home and volunteer lives, and are the reason we continue our long-standing service to our community. This year, we are thrilled to welcome more than 90 Provisional members, and look forward to what this talented group of women will bring to JLSL in years to come.
Our Annual Giving Campaign goal in 2017-18 is $22,000, which allows us to provide additional resources to support our mission, training, and community programs.
Gifts to the Annual Giving Campaign are designated as follows:
Bronze Level: $1–$99
Silver Level: $100–$499
Gold Level: $500–$749
Platinum Level: $750–$999
Diamond Level: $1,000+
All 2017-18 gifts will be recognized in LeagueLetter, JLSL Annual Report and on the JLSL website. Gifts of any size make a difference, and we are striving for 100% participation from our League members.
