Strong Women & Families Health & Resource Fair Slated for Aug. 12

Saturday, August 12, 2017

Strong Women & Families Health & Resource Fair is a one-day event that brings together a dynamic group of agencies that provide services in preventative healthcare, finance, career, children/family and legal to low-income women and their families.

Strong Women & Families Health & Resource Fair connects St. Louis families with information and on-site resources in the areas of finance, education, employment, housing, legal services, healthcare, and wellness in a fun, family-friendly, low-stress environment.

The 2017 event marks the eighth year that Junior League of St. Louis will partner with Grace Hill and Affinia Healthcare to provide free, essential health and community services to those in the greater North St. Louis City area. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Grace Hill Water Tower Hub (2126 E. Grand Ave.).

A key part of Junior League of St. Louis’ mission is improving the lives of women and children in our community. Our annual Strong Women & Families Health & Resource Fair helps St. Louisians access multiple free community resources in a centralized location. It offers a chance to get healthcare, dental and financial services, wellness tips, and employment and housing assistance in a one-stop-shop format. Attendees receive actual on-site services at the event, not just a flyer and phone number. The day includes healthcare opportunities like OB visits for pregnant women, well-woman exams, and back-to-school and sports physicals for youth, as well as entertainment, kids’ crafts, and face painting.
