League Larks

The Junior League of St. Louis League Larks choral group is the oldest continual project of the JLSL. They have performed since the early 1970’s in St. Louis metropolitan area nursing homes, retirement centers, and adult day care facilities providing musical entertainment and warm interaction with the residents. Many of the places where they perform have no budget for this type of programming and the Larks provide a valuable service to these facilities and seniors. The 30 volunteer singers, under the direction of Nance St. James and accompanist Ronna Paden, perform weekly on Wednesday mornings. They have also performed at the JLSL Centennial Luncheon, the Siteman Cancer Center, The Muny, and the “We Sing for the Children” concert at the Sheldon Concert Hall. Their joyous sound has enhanced the lives of thousands of Missourians.
