The Junior League was founded in 1914 as an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Benefits of membership include:
- Volunteer and leadership training
- Opportunities with like-minded women and community leaders
- Opportunities to serve in leadership positions
- Insights into community needs
- Making a difference in the St. Louis community
JLSL membership draws women from the metropolitan St. Louis area. A diverse organization, the JLSL reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.
To join, contact the JLSL for an application or attend a New Member Information session, which you can register for online or by telephone. The JLSL offers two New Member classes per JLSL calendar year, the first class starting in September and the second class starting in January. View our Power Point presentation for more information about the JLSL.
